Project F-401, S-202-E (Preliminary). Relocation of Alabama Highway 20 from Natchez Trace Parkway to a Point Approximately 1.5 Miles Southeast of McGee Town, Lauderdale County, Alabama
The project proposes relocation of Alabama Highway 20 beginning at the intersection of Alabama Highway 20 and Natchez Trace Parkway and extends southeasterly on new location to a point on Alabama Highway 20 approximately 1.5 miles southeast of McGee Town. The total length of project is 9.325 miles. The proposed section is a rural type two lane highway consisting of a 24 foot width of paving with 10 foot shoulders on each side. The ultimate section is a four lane section with a 54 foot depressed median. The proposed right-of-way is a minimum of 250 feet in width and this is needed to accomodate the ultimate four lane divided highway. Environmental impacts and adverse effects are discussed.
