State Highway 31: From 34th Street in Corsicana to Hill County Line, Navarro County, Texas
The Texas Highway Department proposed to improve State Highway 31 from 34th Street in Corsicana to the Hill County Line, being approximately 3.3 miles in the urban area of the City of Corsicana and approximately 18.2 miles in the rural area of Navarro County. Existing right of way on this highway is a minimum of 120 feet. Additional right of way with a minimum of 80 feet width will be required in the rural section for the majority of the length of the project. Improvement in the City of Corsicana is proposed to use the existing right of way with the single exception of a proposed interchange connecting to a proposed future bypass near the west city limits. Environmental effects are discussed.
