Seismic Performance Study of a 2-Story Masonry Wall-Frame Building Designed by Tentative Limit States Design Standard
The report has the following purposes: (1) To develop analytical models using the Task 2 computer programs of a case study building that was designed using the Limit State Design Standard (LSDS) developed by The Masonry Society, American Concrete Institute and American Society of Civil Engineers and quantify its performance. (2) To study the sensitivity of the estimate component and system response to variations in material properties, modeling assumptions, and different analytical models. (3) To make recommendations, based upon the results of (1) and (2), for improving the Limit State Design Standard.
