A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Surveys and Investigations Projects as Required by Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act, Missouri. Study No. 41: Biology and Management of White-Tailed Deer Within Urban Landscapes. Job No. 1: Demography and Movement of White-Tailed Deer Within Urban Landscapes
Knowledge of survival rates and causes of mortality are important to understanding white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) population dynamics and implementing appropriate management practices. The authors examined sex and age specific survival rates and annual variability for 3 white-tailed deer populations in Missouri, USA. The 3 study sites were agricultural, heavily forested, and urban dominated.
