A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Surveys and Investigations Projects as Required by Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act, Missouri. Study No. 41: Biology and Management of White-Tailed Deer Within Urban Landscapes. Job No. 1: Demography and Movement of White Tailed Deer Within Urban Landscapes
We evaluated the efficacy of translocation to control an urban white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virgnianus) population in Town and Country (TC), Missouri. Captured deer (n=80) were fitted with radio transmitters and translocated approximately 160 km to Huzzah Conservation Area (HC) in south-central Missouri. Released deer were monitored on a 20-hour sampling regime for 1 year.
