Proposed Interstate 305, Salem, Oregon
It has been determined by the Salem Area Transportation Study that a need exists and that it is in the public interst to construct a freeway spur from the north into Salem proper. One concept recommended by the Citizens Advisory Committee, appointed specifically to assure the compatibility of the I-305 freeway in the community is that of a linear parkway designed to preserve natural resources, and retain the highest aesthetic goals of the community in landscaping.
