Soil Tests with Nuclear Density-Moisture Equipment: Laboratory and Field Tests of Probe-Equipped Surface-Type Nuclear Density-Moisture Equipment for Evaluation toward Future Use in Earthwork Control
This report presents the results of tests with late-model nulcear test equipment on soils in the laboratory and at Pueblo Dam near Pueblo, Colo. The purpose was to determine if this method of measuring soil moisture and density had sufficiently improved so that it could be substituted for present methods or incorporated into present compaction control procedures.
