The book presents supplemental statistics for occupied housing units from the 1993 American Housing Survey Metropolitan Sample (AHS-MS), conducted in selected metropolitan areas. The supplemental statistics include housing and household characteristics by family type, housing quality by family type neighborhood quality, and characteristics of year-round housing units removed from the inventory since the last survey period. The areas included in the survey are Boston MA-NH; Detroit, MI; Minneapolis - St. Paul, MN-WI; San Francisco-Oakland, CA; San Jose, CA; Tampa-St. Petersburg, FL; and Washington, DC-MD-VA.
