City of New Brunswick Central Business District Interim Plan
New Brunswick has a Master Plan which was adopted in 1963. The Plan proposed the substantial expansion and modernization of the City's Central Business District. Since the preparation of the 1963 Master Plan, significant changes have taken place warranting reexamination of the development plans for the CBD as well as the City's total land area. This planning study focuses exclusively upon the CBD area. The study recommends a revision of the Land Use Plan and proposes the immediate implementation of various capital improvement projects, i.e., off-street parking street improvements, and improvement of public transportation.
