Project I-85-1(44) 20 Troup-Meriwether Counties (Construction), I-85-1(33) 12 Troup County Construction), Georgia
The purpose of two projects is to provide a safe limited access highway facility for the through traveller. There are 34 residencies, 6 out-buildings, and one store building located within the proposed rights of way, all rural type structures in various states of repair. Adverse effects are those common to most major highway construction projects, including conversions of land use, lowered groundwater table in cuts, restricted stream channels causing higher upstream water levels in times of flood, and erosion which occurs during construction.
