The report describes the proposal for construction of projects I-65-2(31), Shelby County, beginning at end of Construction Project I-65-2(30) approximately 3/4 mile east of Pelham and extending northerly to the north side of the Cahaba River; total length approximately 7.2 miles. The environmental impacts are discussed: Relocating people, the alignment as it affects residential sub-divisions and developments, aesthetics, wildlife areas, water table, air and water pollution, noise, safety, improved traffic conditions and economic effects therefrom. The proposed acquisition for right-of-way purposes of approximately 8 acres of land of the State of Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Oak Mountain State Park.
