Hydraulic Design of Embedded Culverts, Technical Summary
Most new and replacement culverts over a certain size in Kansas must be embedded below the streambed to promote aquatic organism passage. The Kansas Department of Transportation’s (KDOT) Design Manual currently does not address hydraulic analysis and design of embedded culverts.
