Highway Improvement on Routes 106 and 30 in San Bernardino County, California
The project proposes construction of a 6.6-mile freeway in the State of California on State Route 106 and State Route 30 in the County of San Bernardino, the City of San Bernardino and the City of Redlands between Interstate Route 10 near Tennessee Street and existing Route 30 at Highland and Arden Avenues. The project is a six-lane freeway comprising a connecting link between Interstate Route 10 and existing State Route 30 to provide a continuous freeway system around the major portion of the City of San Bernardino and to provide an all-weather crossing of the Santa Ana River. Environmental impacts including sound, air quality, water, aesthetics, displacement of residences and commercial improvements, parks, recreation and wildlife, community development and planning are discussed.
