The Eldon Comprehensive Plan. Part I. First Year Report
The plan for Eldon is primarily concerned with physical imporvements; private facilities, such as construction of buildings, new uses of land, and the maintenance of property, and public facilities in the form of streets, utilities, and parks. Public improvements are directed by such plan elements as the Major Street Plan, and the Community Facilities Plan. Private activities are controlled by zoning, subdivision regulations and other regulatory ordinances. These plans and regulations are the basic components of the Comprehensive Plan which is designed to guide the growth of the community during the next twenty years. (Author)
