Water Drainage from Highway Fills
This report presents results which are the basis for the suggested changes in Kansas Standard Specifications to lessen the chance of embankment failure due to water saturation. The report also covers the stability of reconstructed slopes, use of trees and shrubs in stabilizing embankment slopes, the activity and identification of animal inhabitants of embankments, the use of drains to help stabilize slopes until reconstruction can begin, and slope instrumentation.
