The facility will begin at Route 371 and extend easterly to Route I-229 for a total distance of 1.0 miles. The facility will consist of two stages of construction. Initial construction will consist of 2-12 ft travel lanes of high type pavement with 10 ft stabilized shoulders and 20 ft safety zones on each side. Two lane bridges will be constructed over Route 371, I-229 and relocated Mason Road. Interchanges will be constructed at Route 371 and Route I-229. The ultimate facility will consist of 4-12 ft travel lanes and 18 ft median with a median barrier. Ten foot shoulders and 20 ft safety zones will be provided on each side. Full diamond interchanges will be provided at Route 371 and I-229. Environmental impacts are discussed.
