Route I-229, Andrew-Buchanan Counties, Missouri
The project of constructing 11.9 miles of limited access multi-lane freeway from existing interchange provisions with interstate Route 29 in Andrew County south to connect with the completed portion of Interstate Route 229 at 22nd Street in the City of St. Joseph in Buchanan County. This project will provide interchanges at Route K, Highland Street, St. Joseph Avenue, Francis Street, Felix Street, Edmond Street, Charles Street, Missouri Route 759, U.S. Route 36, U.S. Route 59, Lake Boulevard (Florence Road), and Missouri Route 371. This project will require right-of-way from Riverview Park, Huston-Wyeth Park and crosses Southwest Parkway near the south terminus of the project. Environmental impacts and adverse effects are discussed.
