Development of Equipment and Techniques for a Statewide Rigid Pavement Deflection Study
The report presents the development of several new pieces of equipment and a refinement of test procedures. This work entailed: a method of obtaining the slab temperature differential between the top and bottom of the concrete pavement slab, the pavement's radius of curvature as it deflects under a given wheel load, a loaded truck that was capable of moving about the State with a minimum of difficulty, and development of testing techniques.
