Its primary emphasis is on the exteriors of the structures only. The present project (Project no. 5173, Package No. 105) calls only for their exterior preservation. Nevertheless, it has been necessary to step into the 'interiors' on occasion, which is important in the preservation of earth and masonry fortifications.
