Foundation Engineering: Finite Element Analysis. 1970-January, 1983 (Citations from the Engineering Index Data Base)
This bibliography contains citations concerning the application of finite element methods to analyze structural foundations. Structural subject matter includes pile foundations, drilled shaft foundations, footing designs, and anchors for towers and earth-retaining walls. In addition to the usual applications to buildings, towers, and walls, the citations include references to caissons, railway ballast, and pipeline foundations. The kinds of analyses include dynamic soil-structure interactions, such as in cyclic loads, seismic loads, and deformations on slopes; behavior of foundations on elastic or flexible soils and interlocked rocks; and behavior under lateral loads. (This updated bibliography contains 182 citations, 17 of which are new entries to the previous edition.)
