Investigation of Concrete Aggregates, Shelbyville Reservoir Project, St. Louis District
According to the General Design Memorandum for the Shelbyville Dam on the Kaskaskia River in Southern Illinois, upstream from the Carlyle Reservoir, approximately 50,000 cu yd of mass concrete and 37,000 cu yd of reinforced concrete will be required for the flood control project. The investigation was conducted to evaluate the suitability of concrete aggregate from nine sources for inclusion as acceptable sources in the Design Memorandum.
