Depositions of Environmental Pollutants
Waste disposal and waste recycling are given first priority in environmental policy. Pollutants can escape from dumps in gravitational water or in gaseous form. Leakage of water and gas must be prevented by constructional means, and biological, physical, or chemical processes must be developed for treating the gas and water. The complexity of the task requires interdisciplinary solutions developed in a joint effort by scientists, chemical engineers, and constructional engineers. (ERA citation 11:030023)
