Evaluation of Shell Chemical Company's Ground-Water DBCP Control System, Rocky Mountain Arsenal, Colorado. Phase 2
The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the effectiveness of the irondale DBCP control system in preventing the off-post migration of contaminated ground water. This is a consolidated report which includes approximately 24 months of data. The evaluation of the system was accomplished by monitoring water elevation changes in the study area, chemical analysis of water samples, and analysis of the influence of the SACWSD wells' cone of depression on contaminated ground water flow direction. The data were used to develop water table elevation maps, ground water profiles, DBCP concentrations maps, and summaries of the total volume of water pumped by the control systems an the SACWSD wells.
