Analise do Comportamento de Vigas de Betao Armado Reforcadas a Flexao e ao Esforco Transverso (Behaviour of Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened to Flexural and Shear)
The work aims to study the experimental behavior of strengthened beams. To analyze the flexural and the shear strengthening, scaled models of reinforced concrete T beams, simply supported, were tested. The strengthening was realized by adding new reinforcement and casting-in-place two different repair materials: shotcrete and pre-packed special mortar. Three types of stirrups were tested to verify its efficiency in the shear redesign. Besides these beam tests, additional tests were developed to verify the bond between the concrete and the new materials: pull-off tests, slant shear tests and pull-out tests.
