The subject project is the last construction contract to be let for the completion of Interstate Route 71 connecting Louisville, Kentucky to Cleveland, Ohio. An adverse effect which cannot be avoided is the need for acquiring approximately 37 acres of park and recreation land for construction purposes, some of which is wooded. This total area cannot be replaced in the immediate vicinity without removing many residences.
