Proposed New Community of Cedar-Riverside, Minneapolis, Minnesota
The statement concerns the development of Cedar-Riverside, the new town 'in-town' in Minneapolis. The area in which the Cedar-Riverside new-town-in-town is located is less than one mile southeast of the central business district of Minneapolis at the intersection of three major area freeways. The object of the redevelopment is to renew this declining area with a planned community. Special attention is given to minimizing existing air pollution generation due to solid wastes disposal and noise problems generated by bordering freeways.
