Foundation Instrumentation/Inclinometer
The inclinometer, first introduced to the engineering profession 25 years ago, has developed into a powerful tool for monitoring the performance of embankments and structures during all phases of construction. The purpose of this presentation is to acquaint highway engineers with the application of the inclinometer to problems involving stability of slopes. This manual was prepared in conjunction with a 45-minute videotape program on the inclinometer instrument. The text presented in this manual is modified from the videotape script.
