Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument Geologic Resources Inventory Report
The Geologic Resources Inventory (GRI) is one of 12 inventories funded by the National Park Service (NPS) Inventory and Monitoring Program. The Geologic Resources Division of the NPS Natural Resource Stewardship and Science Directorate administers the GRI. This report synthesizes discussions from a scoping meeting for Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument (New Mexico) on 14 November 2007 and a follow-up conference call on 7 December 2011, which were held by the Geologic Resources Division to determine geologic resources, the status of geologic mapping, and geologic resource management issues and needs. It is a companion document to previously completed GRI digital geologic map data. This GRI report was written for resource managers to support science-informed decision making.
