Initial Housing Element
The report is concerned with the problems and obstacles in housing for the ten county region served by the East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission. It examines the existing conditions and states housing goals as well as planning activities to meet these goals. Courses of action are identified with particular emphasis on the needs of low and moderate income and minority groups. Increased public information of housing problems and of programs available is suggested to keep the housing consumer and housing sponsor and developer informed. All plans and objectives are designed to assist in the long range goals of safe, sound, decent dwellings for all the region's citizenry.
