Most materials show the socalled Bauschinger effect during cyclic loading. The stress-strain curve gives a hysteresis loop. Many elasto-plastic models are suggested in the literature aiming to model this. In this project some of the models are looked into, and one particular model, from the fuzzy set family of models, is described in detail. The cyclic shear mobilization (CSM) model is adapted to the fuzzy set model and implemented into the FEM program GEOnac. Also a model where the user specifies the shear stiffness through curve points manually, is implemented.
