Trends in the housing stock and population of the City of Atlanta, Georgia between 1960 and 1970 are examined in the report. Base data came from the 1960 and 1970 Census of Population and Housing, and records maintained by the Department of the Building Inspector of the City of Atlanta. Trends are presented for the age, race, income, geographic distribution, and density of the population; and quantity, degree of overcrowding, type of occupancy and cost of housing as well as minority opportunity for housing.
