Channel Extension Siuslaw River and Bar, Oregon
The report covers construction of a navigation channel extension 12 feet deep and 150 feet wide from river mile 8.5 to 16.5 in Siuslaw River with widening at bends and a turning basin 300 feet wide and 500 feet long at mile 15.8; dredging of approximately 12 acres of river bottom will yield 110,000 to 140,000 cubic yards of spoil to be placed on about 17 acres of upland; maintenance dredging of approximately 30,000 cubic yards would be anticipated at 4-year intervals.
