Fire Hazard Analysis: Foam Plastic Insulation in Exterior Walls of Buildings
Conservation represents a viable and available energy option. By insulating buildings with foamed plastic, one of the most cost-effective insulating materials currently available, energy consumption can generally be reduced. A review of the potential flammability hazards associated with the use of foam plastic insulation in exterior walls of buildings and a discussion of various special laboratory and full-scale fire testing procedures are included.
