Route 50, Cole County, Missouri. Moreau River to West of Osage River
The project is located in Cole County, Missouri, between the communities of Jefferson City and Linn. The improvement on Route 50 is approximately 5.7 miles in length. The purpose of the project is to construct two pavements from the end of the existing dual lane pavement, east of the Moreau River, easterly to Route M and J spur and construct one pavement from Route M and J spur to the end of the project west of the Osage River. The positive effect of this project is to provide a safe and modern highway facility which would permit free flow of traffic. The adverse effect this project would have on the natural environment would be the necessary taking of the right-of-way to construct the proposed improvement. Replacement housing is available in the immediate area for those people being displaced by the project.
