New Building Construction Trends in the Commercial Sector
Historical volume and regional distribution of new, additions, and alterations construction activity are investigated for size, height and construction costs of eight major commercial buildings. For the period 1970-1986 various economic and demographic forces are presented and identified as explanatory variables to changing activity within each commercial category, as well as between regions of the U.S.
