The purpose of the proposed highway project is to improve approximately 16.3 miles of existing SR-235 from a point approximately 0.2 mile south of its intersection with SR-41 northerly to a point approximately 0.5 mile north of its northerly intersection with SR-29 in Champaign County. SR-235 runs in a generally north-south direction from State Route No. US-68 north of Xenia in Greene County northerly to State Route No. 65 in Wood County. The subject project proposes using federal aid secondary funds to construct new pavement on adjusted alignment and/or profile grade at several locations to improve the most hazardous sections within the limits of the project.
