A two-lane, movable draw span type highway bridge of concrete and steel is proposed to replace an obsolete and unsafe timber bridge spanning a coastal river in St. Johns County, Florida. The project should have no significant impact on the environment. The new bridge will decrease the ambient noise level in the existing community, increase safety, spur local economy, promote enjoyable living conditions and, in general, enhance long-term productivity of the area.
