Socio-Economic and Community Factors in Planning Urban Freeways
The purpose of the study was to examine the urban freeway route location process in terms of (1) describing freeway planning route location as a process of social change, (2) showing the interactions of interest groups and their attitudes toward the planning process, (3) identifying the social and economic factors involved in route location, and (4) developing a method for comparing and evaluating user and community consequences for decision making among alternatives.
