Experience in the performance and application of unpainted COR-TEN steel in Britain since 1972 is discussed. The increasing interest in unpainted COR-TEN steel for bridge construction is noted and it is recorded that six COR-TEN steel bridges have been completed since January 1972 and a further 28 are currently under construction or discussion.
