Plan for Recreation, Conservation and Open Space
This report presents material which will be incorporated into a refined and updated Recreation Guide Plan for the state. The original Guide Plan was completed in 1965. Continuous refinement and extension of the policies and plans presented in the original document is essential to reflect changing conditions and additional knowledge of the states' needs in the areas of acquisition and development of recreation facilities. This report represents the second stage in this planning process. As such, it is designed to provide current planning data on recreation and conservation, and to continue Rhode Islands' eligibility in the various federal programs which provide financial support to recreation and conservation programs.
