Regional Recreation and Open Space Plan. Report 1. Recreational Facilities and Open Space Inventory
The objective of the report is to provide a comprehensive inventory of all recreation and open space facilities in Lehigh and Northampton Counties. Outdoor recreation areas and open space areas are defined and classified. An inventory is given of recreation and open space areas. Also, the number of swimming pools, playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, baseball fields and bench areas per thousand persons is computed for each of the 62 local municipalities. These are rated and mapped for comparative purposes. The appendices contain a listing, by municipality, of all recreation and open space areas and the facilities to be found at each.
