Recommended Corridor Preservation Program for Kansas Highways
The research effort had two basic goals: (1) identify and evaluate programs for the preservation of existing capacity and the advance acquisition and/or preservation of the rights-of-way needed to accommodate future improvements, and (2) as an initial effort in developing a comprehensive corridor preservation program, identify existing two-lane rural highway corridors in Kansas which may experience capacity problems in the next 10-15 years.
