This report provides an analysis of problems of the design, construction and operation of tailings dumps on permafrost foundations. Analysis of data from engineering surveys, planning documents and features of the operation of tailings dumps provides an opportunity to evaluate the permafrost-geomineralogical features of the foundations of dams.
