Awards at The ACI Concrete Convention and Exposition - Spring 2017
For their outstanding achievements and service to the Institute, ACI recognized selected members at The ACI Concrete Convention and Exposition -- Spring 2017 in Detroit, MI. Four individuals were granted Honorary Membership, ACI's highest honor, given to persons of eminence in the field of the Institute's interest, or one who has performed extraordinary meritorious service to the Institute. Since 1926, when this rank was established, 243 ACI members have been elected to Honorary Membership. In addition, ACI honored the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, the Republic of Colombia Chapter -- ACI, and 41 individuals with personal and paper awards. The first ACI Strategic Advancement Award was given to Francis T. Griffith, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR.
