Experience in operating the Pavlovskii hydroelectric station structures
Conclusions The results of all full-scale observations and investigations carried out during the 6 year period of operation indicate a satisfactory technical state of the hydraulic structures at the Pavlovskii hydroelectric station.Seepage at the base of the structures is normal and has reached a steady condition.The structures of the hydroelectric complex have not yet been checked for the design discharge: the greatest free overflow has been 4100 $ m^{3} $/sec, or 50% of the capacity of the structures. The lock-spillway has not yet been used as a spillway.Scouring in the tailwater of the hydroelectric complex requires the development of a system for, regulating the spillway by means of valves and its strict observance during operation, and also stabilization of the left flank of the tailrace and elimination of the ridges.
