Assembly of the rotor rim of a large hydroelectric generator
Conclusions The analytical solution obtained for the case of a uniform spacing of masses along the circumference permits estimating the effect of design (spacing of the masses) and technological (tolerance of the mass of the segments) parameters on imbalance of the rotor. An approximate solution making it possible to obtain the distribution function without any restrictions on the spacing of the masses along the circumference was constructed. The accuracy of manufacturing segments intended for the SV 1130/220-44UKhL generator provides, with a 75% probability, a level of rotor imbalance not exceeding the allowable — if the rim is assembled without preliminary weighing of the segments. Making the tolerance zone more strict or reducing the interlayer offset of the segments by half practically eliminates an imbalance exceeding the allowable value. The results obtained make it possible already at the initial stage of generator design to determine the possibility of assembling the rim without weighing the segments.
