    Community Teleservice Centres and the Future of Rural Society

    New search for: Qvortrup, Lars

    In Scandinavia a growing number of telecottages - or Community Telesevices Centres (CTSCs), as they are officially called - have become operative in recent years. In addition to a brief presentation of the CTSCs this paper addresses two questions:

  • is it possible to transfer the Scandinavian concept of CTSCs to other partsof Europe?
  • based on four years of CSTC practice in Scandinavia, which are the mostimportant experiences of establishing and running CTSC?
