Torsional Buckling of Steel Members: The Flexural Buckling Analogy
A substantial body of literature exists on the flexural elastic buckling problem for prismatic members. The contribution made by this paper is to show how this knowledge can be immediately exploited to solve torsional buckling problems, made analogous if the correct kinematic and boundary conditions are applied.
