Electron Transport in Mixed Valence and Heavy Fermion Metals
Abstract The rapid changes in electrical transport properties of mixed valence (MV) and heavy fermion (HF) metals at low temperatures are a clear signal that coherence is developing. Pure crystals of these materials display a rapid rise in their resistivity at low temperatures with a strong T2 dependence and residual resistances which are sensitive to disorder. Many other anomalies, such as a strong frequency dependence of the conductivity, sign changes in the Hall constant and magnetoresistance have been reported [1, 2].
