Road Cement-Mineral Materials with Granulometric and Hydrophobic Additives
Studies of the modification of limestone rock crushing waste treated by Portland cement were carried out. Its consist in structuring the clay-carbonate fine component of mineral material by introducing granulometric additives (natural sand) and mineral mixture hydrophobization by organosilicon additives (potassium methylsilicate). The influence of natural sand and potassium methylsilicate on physical and mechanical properties of cement-mineral material is determined. It is shown that the complex modification ensured the achievement of the required level of physical and mechanical parameters of cement-mineral material for road surfaces. Dependences of influence of Portland cement, sand, and potassium methylsilicate on physical and mechanical properties of treated rock crushing waste are obtained. The optimal compositions of modified cement-mineral materials for road pavement with the strength grades M40, M60, M75 and frost resistance F15 were established.
